In the Office of Communications, we are fortunate to work with the various ministries of the diocese.  Having opportunities to share the good news of the wonderful “happenings” taking place throughout the diocese is one of the greater joys we derive from our work. 

The Office of Communications serves the bishop, the various ministries of the diocese in addition to all its parishes. We maintain the diocesan website, produce weekly radio spots which air on various stations across the diocese, facilitate media coverage, and work within the diocese to help communicate the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Recy Moore serves as Director of Communications Services and is a member of the Academy of Catholic Communication Professionals.  Joan Ward serves as Assistant in the Office of Communications.

Two diocesan priests, Fr. Rodolphe Balthazar and Fr. Rahab Isidor, natives of Haiti, were traveling to their home country when news of the destruction began to trickle out. 

Although in the capital of Port au Prince, Fr. Rodolphe has been unable to make contact with his family.  A reliable family friend has informed Fr. Rodolphe that his mother, a brother and niece have survived the disaster.  

Fr. Rahab was making a connecting flight from Florida to Port au Prince when he learned of the earthquake in Haiti and subsequent cancellation of his air flight. >> Read More
